NBHA Announces Major Expansion of APHA PBRIP Sidepots Across 2026 Events
Exciting New Opportunities for Paint Horses
The National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for Paint Horse competitors: the addition of expanded PBRIP (Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program) sidepots at NBHA World Championships and Super Shows beginning in 2026.
This initiative comes through the newly formalized Affiliate Partnership Agreement between the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) and NBHA, which establishes a multi-year alliance promoting opportunities for registered Paint Horses in barrel racing.
A Landmark Partnership Elevating Paint Horse Competition
Through this alliance, APHA will provide added money and promotional support for PBRIP sidepots at NBHA-sanctioned events, bringing greater recognition and higher payouts to eligible Paint Horses and their exhibitors.
NBHA Executive Director Bailey Nahrgang shared her enthusiasm:

The PBRIP partnership aligns perfectly with NBHA’s mission to grow opportunities for riders nationwide and globally. These added-money sidepots will spotlight talented Paint Horses at every level, from our largest World Championships to our most popular Super Shows.”
$5,000 Added PBRIP Sidepots at NBHA World Championships
Beginning in 2026, NBHA will host $5,000-added PBRIP sidepots at both premier World Championship events:
- NBHA Youth & Teen World Championships| Perry, GA
- NBHA Circle Y Saddles Open & Senior World Championships| Perry, GA
$500 Added PBRIP Sidepots at NBHA Super Shows
NBHA is also excited to introduce $500-added PBRIP sidepots at the following 2026 Super Shows:
- SaddleBook Arizona Super Show| Buckeye, AZ
- Ariat Asheville Super Show| Asheville, NC
- Wrangler Jacksonville Super Show| Jacksonville, FL
- Professional’s Choice Las Vegas Super Show| Las Vegas, NV
- Syracuse Super Show| Syracuse, NY
- Ariat Summer Run Super Show| Perry, GA
- Colonial Super Show| Lexington, VA
- Music City Super Show| Murfreesboro, TN
Exclusive Eligibility for APHA-Registered Horses
PBRIP sidepots are exclusively available to APHA-registered Paint Horses. Both the owner and exhibitor must hold current APHA memberships to participate.
