New NBHA Director Information – Commission Update

Hello Directors,

As we closed Q1 for 2021, we began working on Director commission checks. Thank you for your patience as we work to get them compiled and audited prior to mailing. We hope that checks will be out the door by April 30th at the very latest.

In the meantime, we would like to update you on a few minor changes we are making to the commission process, resulting from a substantial quantity of uncashed commission checks:

  • Beginning this quarter (2021 Q1), we will not be mailing out any single commission check valued at less than $25.00.
  • Any earned commissions less than $25.00 will be banked in our system under the current Director’s name and information, and will be combined with future commissions, which will be mailed out when the accumulative commission reaches a value greater than $25, or year-end, whichever comes first.
  • At no time will NBHA keep your earned commission beyond year-end, regardless of the accumulated value. Year-end commission checks will pay out any amount on an account.
  • At the conclusion of this quarter, NBHA will be switching to a bi-annual commission payment. This change would result in a commission payment in July 2021 for memberships earned in April-June 2021 and one final payment in January 2022 for memberships earned in July-December 2021.

We feel these changes will help Directors who have reported multiple commission checks missing. The large and less frequent checks should allow several efficiencies on our end and allow follow-up on any uncashed checks to ensure you are receiving your funds.
