Coggins Requirements for Horses as applicable to
the
NBHA John Deere Vegas Super Show – June 2007
Horses of Nevada Origin Require the following documentation:
Certificate of Veterinary
Inspection issued within forty-five days
2.1.1 Negative Equine
Infectious Anemia (EIA) test, also know as "Coggins" Test, within the past 12
months. Test date, accession number and name of laboratory must be listed on
the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
Horses of Out of State Origin Require the following documentation:
2.1.2 Certificate of
Veterinary Inspection issued within forty five days
2.1.2 Negative Equine Infectious
Anemia (EIA) test, also known as "Coggins" test, within the past 6 months. Test date, accession number and name of
laboratory must be listed on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
EXEMPTION- Equine
may enter shows, fairs, exhibitions, or assemblies without a Certificate of
Veterinary Inspection when accompanied by a valid equine interstate passport or
equine identification card and a completed VS form 10-11 showing negative
results to an official EIA test within the previous 6 months.
